Grace Kuang

This past summer I visited my family back in China, and was amazed at the differences in Chinese culture and my own. Merchants yelling unrestrained across the aisles of the markets, my grandmother’s apartment permeated with cigarette smoke, pale skinned Chinese models on billboards - it was all so different than Canada. Although it was foreign, I loved every part of it - getting out of my comfort zone, learning a new language, etc. I especially loved hearing my grandparents' stories - it took me to a time and place I had never been before!

It's the aspect of storytelling that allows you to transform where you are that I love the most. I'm looking forward to hearing other people's stories at our upcoming event
