Shreyas Shah

I like stories because they allow us to share glimpses of our lives with each other. They reflect our own personalities, aspirations, and experiences. As we share our stories, we learn more about the people around us and their unique perspectives on the world. Our ability to relate, sympathize, and experience these moments together is an essential part of the human experience.

I think the Human Library is impactful because it allows a platform for these stories be shared. Through the conversations facilitated by this event, participants are able to meet people and consider perspectives or opinions they may not have otherwise been exposed to. I hope that through these interactions, participants are able to leave having learned something new about the world, a stranger, or themselves, and with a greater appreciation of what it means to be human.
